Trey Malone is the Boehlje Endowed Chair in Managerial Economics for Agribusiness at Purdue University, where his research bridges the science of decision-making with the practice of agribusiness management. His work examining the performance and strategy of agri-food businesses has appeared in more than 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, including Economic Inquiry and the Journal of Business Venturing Insights. He has received funding from organizations including the National Science Foundation, USDA, NOAA, and the World Wildlife Fund. Recognized with over a dozen research awards and fellowships, he was named to Farm Journal's The Scoop 40 Under 40 as the only academic honoree in the award's history. A frequent public voice on food, strategy, and innovation, Dr. Malone's insights have appeared in Fast Company, the New York Times, Good Morning America, CNBC, and TEDx, among others. He serves as North American Managing Editor of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Review and brings his expertise to undergraduate, graduate, and executive audiences as an award-winning educator and sought-after speaker on strategic decision-making, behavioral economics, and innovation.
